More than 1.1 million minimum wage earners in the National Capital Region (NCR) will benefit from a ₱85 daily wage increase, the largest single daily minimum wage hike approved in Metro Manila.
The first tranche will be effective starting July 19, 2026 with additional ₱60 on the current wage in NCR. The second tranche will be effective on January 20, 2026 for the remaining ₱ 25.
The wage adjustment aims to provide greater financial support to workers and their families while recognizing the invaluable contributions of the Filipino workforce to the country’s economic growth. DOLE, together with the National Wages and Productivity Commission and the Regional Tripartite Wages and Productivity Board, will continue to promote compliance and assist employers in the implementation of the new wage order.
