Employees who work on a regular holiday are entitled to 200% of their daily wage for the first eight hours. Employees who work on a rest day are entitled to an additional 30% of the 200% basic wage. For work rendered beyond eight hours, an additional 30% of the hourly rate is provided.
For special (non-working) days, the “no work, no pay” principle applies unless a collective bargaining agreement establishes specific conditions, or it is imposed under management prerogative. Should an employee report on such a day, they are entitled to an additional 30% of their basic wage for the first eight hours of work. Employees who work during the special day that falls also on their rest day, an additional 50% of the basic wage on the first eight hours of work is provided.
For work rendered beyond eight hours, an additional 30% of the hourly rate is provided.
For special (working) days, the day is considered a regular working day. Employees reporting on this day are entitled to 100% of their basic wage. For work rendered beyond eight hours, an additional 25% of the hourly rate is provided.
