The Human Resource Students’ Association of the Philippines (HRSAP) marked a significant milestone on September 26, 2018, by officially establishing its first local chapters at Rizal Technological University (RTU). The memorandum of agreement (MOA) signing ceremony, held at Tanghalang Pasigueno, Pasig City, formalized the creation of HRSAP RTU Boni Campus and HRSAP RTU Pasig Campus. The event coincided with the celebration of the 5th anniversary of the RTU Department of HRDM and its 6th Annual HR Students Conference, themed “Onward to Success: Moving to a New Horizon.”
Key figures from both organizations were present at the signing. Professor Joseph M. Lardizabal, HREAP President and HRSAP Adviser, and Professor Rodolfo L. Ducut, RTU Department of HRDM Chairperson and HRSAP RTU Adviser, signed the agreement. They were joined by Angelo D. Buhayan, HRSAP National President; Jhustin S. Olpindo, HRSAP NEB Member; Angelie Maryll D. David, HRSAP RTU Boni Chapter President; and Arnel E. Chua, HRSAP RTU Pasig Chapter President, along with faculty members who served as witnesses.
“This is a milestone for HRSAP as we launch our first two official local chapters with RTU,” shared outgoing HRSAP National President Angelo D. Buhayan. “We are grateful for the support we are receiving from RTU and we look forward to a fruitful and meaningful partnership. We officially welcome them to the HRSAP National family.”
“May this MOA signing strengthen our partnership and collaboration through our shared understanding of the mandates, roles, and responsibilities as a local chapter of HRSAP,” said Angelie Maryll D. David, HRSAP RTU Boni Chapter President.
The agreement outlines the development of programs and activities to support the local chapters in functioning effectively as academic organizations for HR students. It also includes providing resource speakers for their events. Crucially, the MOA integrates the local chapters into HRSAP’s national and international activities through HREAP. This will allow members to learn from experts, network with fellow students across the Philippines, and gain exposure to the HREAP General Membership Meeting and other events, keeping them abreast of the latest developments in the HR profession.
