On October 17th, Bestlink College of the Philippines organized a “Consultative Meeting with Industry Partners and Other Stakeholders” as a proactive step in strengthening its business curriculum. The seminar, titled “Integrating Industry Current Trends and Practices in Curriculum Enhancement towards Professional Competence in Business Programs,” sought to link academic offerings with the changing demands of the business world.
Dr. Angelita C. Serrano, Vice President of the Human Resource Educators Association of the Philippines (HREAP), played an important role in the event. Dr. Serrano, representing HREAP, provided important insights into the most recent human resource trends, problems, and best practices, as well as a more in-depth look at the curriculum development process. Her participation highlighted HREAP’s commitment to fostering collaboration between educational institutions and the HR industry.
The consultative meeting emphasized the value of industry-academic collaboration. Academic institutions can improve the relevance of their business programs to contemporary market demands by collaborating with industrial partners. This strategy is critical in creating graduates with the skills needed for success in their professional pursuits.
